Why did I choose to study architecture?

My dad played a huge part in why I decided to go into architecture, his love for a D.I.Y construction project in my back garden and his hesitation for me to help due to my lack of understanding, sparked in me the urge to understand the art and construction on how a building is made and what process it goes through to create its form.
