Why did I choose to study architecture?

Architecture gives you the opportunity to design something that has a real impact on the way people go about their lives. I like the idea of designing something that will eventually be realised and then being able to watch it grow and change over time as it adapts to the needs of those who use it. We spend most of our time in buildings yet the quality of the built environment is often below par thus having a negative effect on the quality of life of its occupants.
